Reading Plan | Overcoming in Christ
Overcoming in Christ
In the ‘Overcoming in Christ’ reading plan you will go through the scriptures where “nikaō” appears.
The Greek word “nikaō” (νικάω G3528) occurs numerous times in the New Testament, mainly in the books written by the Apostle John. The word is usually translated as “overcomes”, “conquers” or “to be victorious”.

Session 4
1 John 2:13-14 (NIV)
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men,
because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations

The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.
